Dr. Phoon Kok Kwang, Distinguished Professor and Vice Provost at National University of Singapore and one of the world's most famous researchers in Civil, and specifically in Geotechnical Engineering has won an extraordinarily prestigious Humboldt Research Award to join the Institute for Risk and Reliability for collaborative research.
Together we plan to develop theories and approaches across disciplines to achieve infrastructure resilience. This research is associated with key activities in the American Society of Civil Engineers and the European Safety and Reliability Association.
Prof. Phoon has joined the Institute for Risk and Reliability for the period of July 1 to November 20, 2019.
